Clean jewelry at home

Clean your jewelry at home
Over time, jewelry can naturally oxidize — this is a normal process. If you'd like to keep your silver and gold pieces (not gold-plated) looking shiny and clean, follow these simple steps:
How to Clean Silver or Solid Gold Jewelry (Not Gold-Plated)
Step 1:
Fill a bowl with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Stir to create a soapy solution. Place your silver or gold jewelry in the bowl and let it soak for about 30 minutes. This helps loosen dirt and oxidation.
Step 2:
Gently brush your jewelry with a soft toothbrush — this works especially well for intricate pieces. Be careful not to apply too much pressure.
Step 3:
Rinse the jewelry again in clean water and pat it dry with a soft cloth.
If your piece has stones (e.g., gems or pearls), be extra gentle while cleaning, or consider looking up specific methods for those materials.
If Your Jewelry Is Gold-Plated:
Do not use a toothbrush. Simply dip the piece in clean water and wipe it gently with a soft, damp cloth.
We actually recommend avoiding washing gold-plated jewelry unless it has been stored for a long time and looks visibly darkened.
* REMEMBER:
Jewelry should be treated like any beloved item in your wardrobe. Just like clothes or shoes, jewelry needs care — cleaning, maintenance, and sometimes repairs.
Take care of your jewelry the same way you care for your favorite outfit.
Storage Tips:
-
Store your jewelry in a dry, safe place.
-
Avoid humid areas like bathrooms.
-
Keep pieces in a closed box or a proper jewelry case.
Some jewelry stays clean simply by wearing it, but this depends on your skin's pH, the environment you live in, and the substances you come into contact with.
