Meu Amor ~ Muero (de) amor ~ Me Amo

This piece began as an experiment. I was exploring new engraving techniques and playing with different messages when the phrase Meu Amor appeared. In my head, it only said that.

At first, I didn't even think about selling it. One day, a friend stopped by the studio, saw it, instantly fell in love with it, and bought it. As she observed it, she discovered something I hadn't seen: between the letters, you could also read Muero (de) amor (I'm dying of love).

That's when I realized the piece held more than one story. And it didn't end there. Hours later, she wrote to me again:

"I just found another hidden message: it also says 'Me Amo' (I love myself)."

Since then, this jewel speaks of many things at once: love for another person, overwhelming love, and self-love. Three messages that coexist in one piece, waiting for each person to find their own.
